Home Safe And Sound

Just a quick note to say that all of the L2L crew returned in the early hours of Saturday morning back to Perth Airport.

All students, teachers and helpers are safe and sound – but they will be seeking some more sleep in the next few days given the hectic schedule of early wake up calls, travelling to the Australian Embassy, shopping at Greenhills and catching the overnight flight.  Pictures from the final days will be posted soon.

A special thanks to all of you who read the daily bog posts and commented. Your encouragement in our pursuit of servant leadership is the fuel that keeps us going each day.  The journey that began with a humble sports ministry trip in 2003 with six basketball players and Pastor Gary Visitacion has now grown to 79 travellers this year!

We praise God for his provision as we seek to work with the Filipino people for years to come!

Pastor Gary and his wife Grace are in Perth for one night only and they will be at Alfreds Kitchen, Guildford from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Saturday December 2nd if you would like to fellowship with them one last time.

Thank you again for all your support.  Enjoy your holidays!

  1. Dear all,

As parents and Christians, it is has been a privilege to support this outreach.

The video on a stick (as opposed to news about “chicken on a stick”) was terrific. We watched it together as soon as possible and we could really get a sense of the wonderful, transformative experience that the team have had; but more than that, this glimpse into the world of the poor and the needy, served to greatly encourage us to maintain our support for this worthy ministry.

Once again, our heartfelt thanks for looking after our kids and being obedient to His call to serve and spread the good news of Jesus Christ.

  4. Well I’m so happy and proud of each and everyone that attended. Sean had a great time and even said he’d go again. Blown away. The experience has left him a tad more of a gentle giant. Congrats on the Munchkin Man Award and “OMG SEAN” got its own t-shirt 😂😂. Thank you all for taking care and guiding Sean through his time at Swan and during this trip. Much love and prayers to you all. ❤️

  5. What a fitting end to Braydens 12 years at Swan. It encapsulated everything we hoped that his schooling would achieve. Not only allowing him to accomplish the academic pursuits he chose but to do so with a servant heart. Swan teachers have provided pasterol care second to none and have modelled how to lead a great life, leaving everything and everybody a little bit better than they way we find them. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you. We are truly blessed.
