Some last minute details

Dear Parents and supporters,

After a year of anticipation and planning, the day has finally come for us to head off to the airport and make our way to the Philippines.  Here are a couple of last minute reminders and details.

Contact Details – For any last-minute enquiries here in Australia my mobile number is 0417594758. Please keep in mind I am still teaching between 8:30am and 4:00pm on Thursday and Friday as such I will not be able to take any calls at this time but may be able to answer text messages during my lunch break. As mentioned at the meeting I will be placing my Philippines number on the blog for emergency contact as soon as it is set up.

Document correction – Some of the flight times and dates where incorrect on the information document I handed out at the last meeting.  I have amended the flight time page of the document so that it now matches the itinerary which has the correct flight times and dates.  My apologies for this, you can download the updated version here:  2019 final information for parents and students

Swan Blog – All information about how we are going will be posted on this blog and emailed out to you if you are signed up for updates.  If you have not already signed up or received any emails from the L2L team please go to then under the subscribe to news tab enter you details.

Airport arrival – If you could please be at the airport by 11pm this Friday night at the latest, this will help us facilitate the necessary protocols we have in place to get everyone prepared for the flight in an efficient manner.  All students are required to wear their blue leavers2leaders t-shirts to the airport.  Upon arrival at the Perth T1 International Airport please locate me (Mr Beacham) and show me that you have your passport and I will give you your identification lanyard and further instructions on what to do.  At this time please hand your mobile phone to your parents if you have bought it to the airport with you (I suggest just leaving it at home).  Parents you are welcome to stay as long or as little as you want until we head through to customs.

NB: Please make sure you do not have any liquid, aerosol or gel containers above 100ml in your hand luggage (this includes sunscreen).  Please place them in your main luggage or they will be confiscated by airport staff.

Looking forward to seeing you Friday night.

Greg Beacham.
